Come along to the Garfield Community Garden and enjoy a relaxed morning outdoors with other members of our community.

Whether you are an experienced gardener, an enthusiastic beginner or simply looking for some friendly company, everyone is welcome.

The Garfield Community Garden is proudly auspiced by Moy-Yan Neighbourhood House and provides a welcoming place for people to connect, share gardening knowledge and enjoy growing together.
Saturday Garden Meet-Up
Our regular garden meet-up is held every Saturday from 10.00 am to 12 noon.

There is always something happening in the garden, with activities changing throughout the year according to the weather and growing season.

You might help with:
  • Planting seeds and seedlings
  • Watering and caring for plants
  • Weeding and preparing garden beds
  • Composting and improving the soil
  • Harvesting seasonal produce
  • Tidying and maintaining the garden
  • Sharing gardening ideas, knowledge and experiences

There is no need to be an experienced gardener. Come along, learn at your own pace and take part in whatever way feels comfortable.
Join Us for a Cuppa
Not interested in gardening—or simply feel like a chat?

Join us for a cuppa at 11.00 am.

You are very welcome to visit the garden, meet some local people and enjoy a relaxed morning in friendly company. There is no obligation to pick up a shovel or pull a weed!
Seasonal Events and Workshops
The garden hosts seasonal events and special workshops throughout the year.

Activities may explore gardening, composting, sustainability, growing food and other practical topics connected with the garden and the changing seasons.

Details of upcoming workshops and events will be announced through Moy-Yan Neighbourhood House and the Garfield Community Garden.
