RetroSuburbia Book Club
This is a relaxed, welcoming space for conversation, learning, and connection.
Join our RetroSuburbia Book Club, as we work through the book RetroSuburbia — written by David Holmgren, the co-originator of the permaculture concept.
RetroSuburbia is a practical and hopeful guide to creating resilient, sustainable lives right where we are. Together, we’ll journey through the book step by step, exploring each section as a group, sharing ideas, and reflecting on how the concepts can be applied in our own lives.
This is a relaxed, welcoming space for conversation, learning, and connection. Whether you’re a homeowner, renter, or somewhere in between, you’ll find inspiration and practical ways to take action — no matter your circumstances.
We’ll dive into topics like local food, community connection, and simple, home-scale solutions, while supporting one another to make meaningful changes. Come along to learn, share, and be part of a thoughtful community imagining a better future — one backyard, balcony, and neighbourhood at a time.
Held at Moy-Yan Neighbourhood House, 2b Beswick St (Next to the Garfield pool).
