Feel the beat, connect and belong at Moy-Yan’s new Rhythm Circle—a welcoming West African Drumming Workshop hosted by Soul Circles Drumming.
Experience the joy of creating music with others as the room comes alive with rhythm, energy and shared connection.
No previous drumming or musical experience is necessary. Simply come along, have a go and enjoy being part of the circle.
About the Workshop
Rhythm Circle is an interactive group drumming experience designed to bring people together through music.
With friendly guidance from Soul Circles Drumming, participants will explore the sounds and rhythms of West African hand drums while learning how individual beats can combine to create something powerful together.
The workshop will be practical, energetic and supportive. You will learn at a comfortable pace, listen to the rhythms around you and discover the enjoyment of contributing to a shared musical experience.
There is no pressure to perform and no need to read music. The focus is on participation, connection and having fun.

- Basic hand-drumming techniques
- Finding and maintaining a steady beat
- Simple West African rhythms
- Listening and responding to other drummers

You do not need to consider yourself musical or have any previous experience. The workshop is designed to help everyone join in, learn the rhythms and contribute to the group.
Come on your own or bring a friend. Everyone has a place in the circle.
Hosted by Soul Circles Drumming
Soul Circles Drumming creates welcoming group experiences built around rhythm, participation and connection.
Their supportive approach allows beginners to feel comfortable while giving everyone the opportunity to experience the energy and enjoyment of playing music together.

Information about drums and any other equipment required will be provided when booking.
